|Is Responsive Really The Best Size Type for Ads? Not Always!|
In today's Responsive ads world, it can often be easier to place responsive ads rather than use standard ad sizes like 728 × 90, 336 × 280, 300 × 250 and 300 × 600. But not for me! Sometimes it really is best to use these standard sizes, especially when you have specific size box for the ad to go in (especially the 728 × 90 leaderboard size in the header).
|Adsense Common Display Ad Sizes|
While placing most your ads as standard sizes often means more work, the rewards for an ad-block that fits perfectly into your site's theme and design can be well worth it and can sometimes even bring you greater revenue! Sure, 9 times out of ten it is best to stick with those responsive ads, but don't be afraid to do some A/B Testing with some standard sizing as well. Do you have a sidebar? Why not stick with only 336 x 280 large rectangle ads to keep the sidebar a perfect length!
Like with everything relating to Adsense it's all about testing, testing and testing some more, but with small tips like these, you at least know what tests to try first. Do you have any Adsense tips yourself? Let me and others know in the comment box below!
