What if I Told You Content Quality Has Very Little to Do With Adsense Earnings?

If there is one "tip" that pops up more than anything else on "Adsense Tips" lists it is making your content as high quality as you can. But what if I told you I don't believe that at all? You would probably say I was mad and didn't really know what I was talking about, but yet...there is truth in what I say...

First of all, what does it really mean to publish "high quality" content? What does that even mean? searchengineland.com say this: "It should not be mass-produced or outsourced on a large number of other sites. The content should be created primarily to give visitors a good user experience, not to rank well in search".  So in terms of that meaning, anything that your users enjoy should be considered high-quality content! And that is kind of my point. There is no specific word count, no specific Keyword that you can automatically class as high quality.

So now I am getting to my point of this post. As long as users come to your site, enjoy reading/watching/looking at what they are seeing its all gravy. But it's not so much how many people that come to your site that means you can earn more with Adsense, its why they are there! If they are there to read a 10,000-word article on SEO they might enjoy reading that content and you might get a few pounds per click, but write a short article about buying life insurance and you might get a lot more clicks! You see, its all about why they are visiting your site, not the quality of the item they are there for! So just as long as you are giving the people what they expect when they click on a link to your site you can earn the most for that article. But given them, a reason to visit your site for a buying guide or a product review means they are much more likely to click on an ad for that item!

While good quality content can still earn you a good amount of Adsense, stop for a moment and consider WHY they are visiting your site and try to make it a little more "advertiser-friendly" because that is the real secret of earning big money from Adsense, regardless of the quality of the content.

But this is just my own observations and opinions, if you disagree with me do let me know in the comments below!
