|Do Longer YouTube Videos Make More Money?|
While consistency will reward you the most it is something that almost every YouTuber thinks about. Do longer videos earn more? Or should I stick with the shorter ones? Stats show us that a video or more than 7 minutes long is seen as a bit of a turn-off, but that is not always the case at all, just look at the "Jake Paul" series from Shane Dawson! The last video from the series was called "Inside The Mind of Jake Paul" and its almost 2 hrs long! So what is going on here?
The truth is short videos do indeed earn more Adsense revenue, but that is not the whole story because longer videos earn people more engagement and that in turn means more subscribers which also means more Adsense revenue! If you want my honest opinion it is best to have a nice mix of both. So out of 10 videos, you post you should aim for at least 3 that are over 10 minutes long and the rest under that mark for however long you wish. But do aim for them to be over 2 minutes long at least.
While this might not seem like the definitive answer to the question it is the best way I can describe the true answer to it. Let's face it, as long as you are enjoying making YouTube videos who cares how long, short of viewers they are. Once you no-longer enjoy it, its time to stop making them.
