|Non-skippable YouTube Ads Are Changing...for the Better!|
While they are still sticking around (YouTube just couldn't skip them) the maximum length of a non-skippable video ad is being reduced. While the reduction isn't as much as some people wanted it is still a significant change. It used to be 20-30 seconds long, but it is now only 5–20 seconds long. But what does that mean for us publishers?
It should mean more marketers are willing to use this format more because they get a guaranteed view from it, so that might mean a few more pennies in the Adsense account at the end of the month, but certainly nothing significant. The good news is this change has already happened so with the high-pay holiday/Christmas season coming up it should work in everyone's favour. At the end of the day if you love the content creator making the video a short non-skippable video ad is nothing.
