I'm Making Pennies, How Can I Earn More From Adsense?

Sadly, most people who sign up for Adsense will not earn a lot and 95% of them won't earn enough to to make the payout threshold. So how can you earn more Adsense if you are earning less than pennies per day? I have come up with 5 tips to help you earn a little more from your blogs and sites provided you have an Adsense account...

Check out Your Blog or Site On All Platforms

You would be shocked at how many people don't do this, but yet it is one of the most important things to do. Make sure you take a look at both the way your site looks and the way your ads look on a smartphone, a tablet and if you can a PC screen or Laptop. Just because your site is responsive doesn't mean your ads are. So take a look and if necessary make some changes.

Don't Just Run Ads, Test Them!

When people join ad testing programs like Ezoic they are always surprised how much extra they earn, but you really shouldn't be. If you test the best type of ad and the best location over and over you will soon come up with the right place to put them and the right type to show. You can do this yourself, but of course, it is far easier to get someone else to do it.

More Traffic, More Page Views

To be honest, this is the reason most people don't earn a lot with their Adsense accounts. The truth is you need a lot of traffic to make a lot of money, but that doesn't mean you can't do that. It just means it's not easy. Always try and promote your site as much as you can. Via social media, via SEO, whatever you can do to earn a few more page views you should be doing it. Just as long as the traffic is from legitimate sources of course. That Top 10 blog might be easy to write for, but you will need a lot of traffic to earn a good wage from it.

Aim For Higher Paying Keywords

If you have troubles getting more traffic maybe you should try some higher paying keywords instead. Things like insurance and fitness earn massive amounts per click and that means you need fewer views in order to earn a good wage. If you are earning pennies the chances are good your sites/blogs category is too wide, or simply in a low paying category.

Add More Content

Most people who blog every day will earn a good wage regardless of the niche their site is located in. Good quality content published frequently is what search engines love and that means a better ranking for your articles. While it isn't the only SEO you should be doing it is a large part of it. Good content earns backlinks naturally, especially if you are hitting those social media sites with the promotion of your site. I always give new blogs and sites 1 year or weekly postings. If you haven't started to earn some good money in a year it is time to do something else.

I'm not saying it is easy to make money from Adsense, far from it. But what I am saying is anyone can do it if they try hard enough. Don't just sit back and wait for those pennies to come to you. Test those ads, test that site and make sure your content and self-promotion are as good as it can be.
