How To Permanently Delete a Disapproved Adsense Account

While there are countless reasons why your sites Adsense application might not get approved this post is more about closing down the account you tried to link it with. Why would you do this? Its because the last thing you want is duplicate Adsense accounts which can cause a real nightmare for people with Adsense telling them to use that account when they can't remember any login details. So if for some reason you do get disapproved it is best to close that Adsense account and here is how you do it...

Step 1: Remove ALL Adsense code

Step 6: Then click "Cancel Account"

Step 6: Then click "Cancel Account" and you will be presented with this (see image above) Please note the tick box located where I have marked. The chances are good that this will appear on your screen because you probably won't have any minimum payment to come out. But if you have more than $10 (£10) you will get a payment at the end of next month. But if you are happy tick the box and move on.

Step 7: This is when you come to the "Before you cancel your account"
Step 7: This is when you come to the "Before you cancel your account"

Step 7: This is when you come to the "Before you cancel your account" page and it is important to once again read all the information located here. When you are ready you can click on the "Reason for Cancelling" pull down bar and your options here are "Website has closed down", "insufficient earnings", "Poor Ad Filtering", "Poor Ad Targeting" or "Other". Then once you have selected the relevant box you will then have to tick the last tick box and click "Continue" when ready and that is it!

While I will suggest that you leave the account open I do understand why people might want to close it down. If you are having any issue with this or anything else Adsense related do let me know in the comments below and I will be happy to help if I can.

  1. Dear Adsense Team,

My google AdSense account shows "Your ad units are not displaying ads because you've failed identity verification. To verify your identity and resume ad serving, please contact us". There is no option to re-verify my identity because of maximum attempt failed.

Kindly assist and provide me any effective means so that I can be a part of Google Adsense through my website, otherwise all of my hard work to get my Adsense approved on my site and labor that I had taken to write articles for my website will be of no use. All of my dreams to be a holder of Adsense approved website will be despair. I don't find any option to verify my identity, so I'm really helpless and downhearted. I feel like I'm a ship without a rudder.

Thanking you so much in anticipation. Please help me out.

    With best Regards,
    Sapam
