Where is The Best Location for a 234 X 60 Half Banner Ad?
This is, of course, the half of the classic 468 X 60 Banner which was best located on the header and I believe the same is true for this ad-unit. If you are aiming to have a separate mobile theme and still want to keep a logo in the top left or right-hand corner this ad-unit has you covered. You can get a small logo in as well as this ad in the same header space of the full 468 X 60 Banner. Or...what about something a little crazier...

They call it the Half Banner so why not use two of them in the same place as 1 full banner! While they are small and the fill-rates are not the best you do get double the chance of getting a click for the same space and that has to be something worth considering. In fact, this double-up method could be worth placing in the middle of content and not just on the top. Remember, there is no limit on the number of ads you can show, its more about the space of ads and content (which needs to be less than 20%.)
As always the best location for this ad type and all ads are different from blog to blog, site to site and should always be A/B tested rather than taken as gospel. If you have a question about this post or anything else Adsense related do let me know in the comments below.
