The Step-by-Step Guide to making Adsense Money on YouTube

While I think it is pretty easy to understand there are still people out there who don't know the first thing about making Adsense money via YouTube. So what I have done is a simple step-by-step plan to help those people out. If you have ever wanted to start make Adsense money on YouTube but didn't know how this is the post for you...

Step 1 - Make a Gmail account

Step 1 - Make a Gmail account

Step 1 - Make a Gmail account

The first thing you have to do is to go to the Google Account creation page. (click here) Follow the steps on the screen to set up your account. Use the account you created to sign in to Gmail.

Step 2 - Make A YouTube Channel

Step 2 - Make A YouTube Channel

Now you have to sign into YouTube (click here) on a computer or using the mobile site. Goto the upload video page and if you don't yet have a channel to upload to, you'll see a prompt to create a channel. Check the details (with your Google Account name and photo that you created in step 1) and confirm to create your new channel.
Step 3: Make Content

Step 3: Make Content

Step 3: Make Content

Now, this is where everyone comes unstuck. What content should you make? The truth is if you don't know how to make video content you can't make money on YouTube. You need to be creating some sort of content, even if it is just refreshed uploads of previously published content. Just as long as you are changing it and adding more value to it you can use it (unless there is a copyright infringement on it). Once you have made the content it is time to upload it.

Step 4: Upload Content To This New Channel

Step 4: Upload Content To This New Channel

This is the easy bit. All you need to do is to upload that content by clicking on the camera icon in the top right-hand corner of the YouTube account screen. You can then add a title, a description and even a custom thumbnail if you are allowed. Then once you are ready hit that publish button!

Step 5: Apply For an Adsense Account

Step 5: Apply For an Adsense Account

This might not sound like the right thing to do at this current time, but by getting an Adsense account setup and verified you can save a lot of time later on. So sign up here and get going with this as you will need to be sent a physical postcard to prove you are real.

Step 5: Keep Uploading Content Until you Reach Monetization Limits

Step 5: Keep Uploading Content Until you Reach Monetization Limits

I will be the first to admit the new limits of 4,000 hours (per year) and over 1,000 subscribers is a tough goal to look up to especially when you are just starting out. But keep the content upload regular and you can reach this limit within a year easily.

Step 6: Apply For Monetization

Step 6: Apply For Monetization

Step 6: Apply For Monetization

Once you reach those limits it is time to apply for monetization and it really is as easy as going to the monetization tab in your YouTube account and asking to join. Then once you have done this just keep uploading the best content you can. If your content is good enough to be accepted by Adsense you should automatically start earning from it within a few months. The key point from here is to grow as big as you can to earn the most money.

Well, there you go! I think I have explained how to earn money from YouTube pretty well, but as always if you have a question about this post or anything else Adsense related do let me know in the comments below.
