Why Are the Settings Options in My Adsense Account Greyed out?

This is a common Adsense issue and one that confuses a lot of people. For this post, I will tell you how to make them available and what you need to do. This is something that is unnecessarily complex and I can understand why so many people get deeply frustrated with it. Anyway, let us get on with unlocking those Adsense settings options...

New Account, or Old Account?

There are two ways people discover the Settings Options Greyed out. The first is when they try to make a new Adsense account. The 2nd is when they go to use an older account they made a long time ago. If Adsense is telling you that you have another account you need to close that older one before moving forward with the new one. You can solve that issue by Reading This Post.

So Why are my Settings Options Greyed out?

This is because you have not verified your account. That doesn't necessarily mean the new one, it might mean the older one as I have already talked about. This is sadly part of a nasty Adsense loop that people often find themselves in. You need to verify the new Adsense account, but can't because it's greyed out. Once you have dealt with the older account you will have to wait for 90 days, then you will discover the new Adsense account you created is asking you to verify who you are.

Personally, I don't get why people don't use the first account they created as it will save all that time waiting for the older account to be closed. But please note: If that older Adsense account has been closed due to invalid clicks you will NEVER be able to open up another Adsense account in your own name, so don't waste your time trying to do so. Well, I did tell you it was unnecessary complex, as always if you have any other questions relating to Adsense do leave them in the comments box below and will answer them there or make a whole post for you with your answer.
